Web site is fixed. Whew.

Wednesday, June 9th, 2010

I’m pleased to say that the web site is all fixed and usable again.

It turns out that Network Solutions, our web host, changed a few server options without telling anyone, and without doing a tremendous amount of testing. Then they didn’t answer quite a few email questions.

Happily, when I phoned I got a tech support guy who was quietly competent. We got the problem pinned down and a fix tested in just ten minutes of talking and ‘try this.’ Well done, Chris.

Main site down: A list of links to charts

For some reason which completely escapes me, my web site is now AFU in the parts where I used SSI. I have not yet been able to blast an explanation loose from Network Solutions. Fortunately the WordPress software still works, so you can see this.

The currently most interesting charts [which would otherwise be] on the site are in the previous post. Others that some may wish to see are:

Treasury Yield Curve

Inflation

Currencies

FDIC Bank Closures

US Stock Indices

World Stock Indices

As soon as I can I’ll get the web site (or NetSol) fixed.

Meanwhile, the US recovery is actually looking pretty good (see charts in previous post) but the world and US stock markets are having their over-optimism dashed.
